It is a part of the Snowy Mountains range, which is situated in New South Wales, Australia.

It was named by Polish explorer Count Paul Strzelecki, honoring the Polish-Lithuanian military leader Tadeusz Kosciuszko, hence the name.

It forms a part of the Kosciuszko National Park and other mountains in the Australian Alps Mountain range. Climbing this mountain is comparatively easier as a chair lift will take you more than half of the way up.

The most common way to reach the summit is through a hiking trail, which is known as the Kosciuszko Walk.

There are two paths to reach the top – from Charlotte’s Pass or Thredbo. You can reach Mount Kosciuszko’s peak by taking either of the two paths.
