In this modern world, everyone is cautious about security and tries to improve their privacy from outsiders. Various security devices are installed in modern homes for privacy, and one of the most important and valuable products is the Ring Doorbell.
The Ring doorbell is installed at the main door of your home and enables you to see and talk with visitors at your doorstep, even if you are not home. It is an outstanding device connected to your smartphone over the Internet. The device requires continuous internet connectivity to work fluently.
Various circumstances may require changing the WiFi on the ring doorbell. For full functionality, the doorbell must always be connected to the WiFi. However, changing the WiFi may arise for the following reasons.
Every company making innovative security systems also provides its application for controlling the product from anywhere. In the case of Ring Doorbell, the application is also provided, and you can connect with your device and change settings whenever necessary. The following are the steps to change WiFi on your Ring doorbell.
Step 1: The process begins with launching the system application. You are always advised to keep your application updated to the latest version.
Step 2: Click on the Menu tab, which appears as the three dots line in the upper corner.
Step 3: Navigate and click on the device options.
Step 4: Now, select the model of your ring doorbell.
Step 5: Click on the Device Health option from the given list.
Step 6: Next, click the “Change WiFi network” option that appears.
Step 7: Head towards the doorbell location and follow the instructions on the screen.
Step 8: Select the desired WiFi network and press continue after entering the WiFi password.
Before changing the password for the Ring doorbell, you need to turn on setup mode. This enables you to make the desired changes to your doorbell.
However, turning on the Setup mode is different for every device. Generally, the Setup button is on the doorbell, but if you find it difficult to see, you should consult the instruction manual for help.
If your Ring doorbell password is known to an outsider, you must change it immediately. You are also advised to change your password occasionally to strengthen your privacy. Here are the typical steps to follow to change your doorbell password.
Step 1: To change the password, launch the latest doorbell application.
Step 2: Click on the menu tab, which appears as three dot lines in your window.
Step 3: Go to the account option and choose to change your password.
Step 4: A verification window will open, and you will enter your current password.
Step 5: Enter the new desired password and click submit after verification.
Finally, your doorbell password has been successfully changed. Follow the same process whenever you need to change the password.
Moreover, your password must be strong enough not to be guessed easily. It should be at least eight characters long and combine letters, numbers, and symbols.
Sometimes, your Ring doorbell stops working even when you have a connection with WiFi due to a network issue. We must re-establish the WiFi connection in this condition by resetting the settings.
This is as we clear information and re-enter details of WiFi in our smartphone when the Internet doesn’t run and then starts running. The same is done with these devices if there is a network issue. The following steps will help you reset the Ring Doorbell.
Step 1: First, press the reset button at the back of the doorbell to start the resetting process.
Step 2: Hold the black button on the front of the camera to start the ring doorbell.
Step 3: Gently release the button. You will notice a ring flashing light, which means it is resetting.
Step 4: When the light turns off, the process is done.
You can also temporarily disconnect your Ring doorbell from your device by following the following steps.
Step 1: You are required to launch the ring doorbell applications.
Step 2: Select the device you want to disconnect (in case you have several devices).
Step 3: Click on the settings tab in the upper right corner.

The Internet is a basic need and is available in every home, whether through WiFi or mobile Internet. Technological development has evolved into intelligent security systems that work through the Internet. The security system is so helpful that you can access it through your smartphone even when out of home.
Smart devices are paired with your device and can be accessed from anywhere. Ring doorbells are one of them, providing visitors with video and audio at your doorstep. This is important for safety purposes and privacy. These ring doorbells can be operated through the applications installed on your device. However, great confidentiality must be maintained about the password and other information.
