1. Considerably Prominent Beaches in Kiama

1.1. Minnamura Beach

Shaped like a finger, Minnamura Beach, or Mystics Beach, provides a good break for surfers. It is located on the Minnamura River, which shines like glass in the sunlight, and is the northernmost beach.

Here, you will see Rangoon Island and Boyds Beach. You can always head up to the cliffs to watch birds and go sightseeing.

This stony, sheltered beach has clear and still waters, making it a great place for snorkelling and swimming. Famous as a picnic spot, it is quite secluded and can be reached on foot along the Kiama Coastal Trail. 

It is the best place to plan a picnic with friends and family. Make sure to visit this place, which offers all the amenities you will enjoy.

1.3. Bombo Beach

Bombo Beach has a wide stretch of sand and is mostly popular among surfers. Located to the north of the Kiama Town Centre, it is quiet and joyful, making it one of the top beaches in Kiama.

You can also plan picnics and day trips here. It is one of the best places to enjoy the daylight.

1.4. Black Beach

This beach, covered with basalt sand, has derived its name from the colour. The Black Beach houses some of the famous ocean pools around Kiama.

With volcanic eruptions forming patterns all along the way, this beach is a paradise for people visiting with their pets. It is also one of the great spots for surfing.

Even if you are not a great fan of surfing, you must visit Surf Beach. It is an extraordinary site to hang out. It lies between Kendall Beach and the Kiama lighthouse.

This beach is located in Gerringong and is the southernmost beach out there! It has calm waters, allowing swimmers to have a blast.

This beach stretches over—yes, you got that! As the name suggests, it is approximately 10 km long and seven miles wide.

When it comes to scenic beauty, it would be an injustice not to mention this beach; the Shoalhaven heads at the southern end, and the northern end makes it all the more attractive.

Last but not least, Easts Beach is one of our most stunning spots at the southernmost end. The beach derives its name from the well-known caravan park located nearby.

It is open to all, which makes it a great tourist spot, especially for kids. The sea is calm, so your kids can go out splashing and splashing.

2. Other Well-Known Spots Near Kiama

Kiama is a place with vibrant and lively daylife as well as nightlife. And if you truly desire to make the most of your visit to such a place, you must also make it a point to visit some of the underrated places mentioned below.

2.1. The Kiama Harbor

Kiama Harbor is located at the northern end of Blowhole Point, inaugurated in 1876. It is one of the most beautiful places and should be visited. If you are in town, you can also view Black Beach.

2.2. The Kiama Lighthouse

Also located at the end of the Blowhole Point is the Kiama Lighthouse. It is mostly famous for its spectacular view during sunset.

It was built many years after the harbour came into existence. It is said to be built in the 80s.

2.3. The Kiama Town

The market in Kiama is spaced out between Terralong Street and Manning Street. It houses a wide variety of shops and cafes.
